Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Dental Radar handles information when you use the site or buy a report. Effective August 20, 2026.
Information we collect
Information you provide. We collect the street address or ZIP code you ask us to analyze. If you buy a report, Stripe collects your email address and payment details and provides us with the transaction record needed to deliver and support your purchase. We also receive anything you send to our support address.
Information collected automatically. Our hosting provider receives normal request information such as your IP address, browser, device, requested URL, and request time. Vercel Web Analytics records anonymous page views and a small number of events, such as starting checkout or completing a purchase. Those events do not include the address you entered, your email address, a report token, or a Stripe session ID.
How we use information
We use information to locate the area you requested, build and store the report, process payment, send the report link, provide support, prevent abuse, maintain the service, and understand aggregate use of the site. We do not use searched addresses or purchase emails for advertising, and we do not add buyers to a marketing list unless they separately ask to join one.
Service providers and disclosures
We disclose information only as needed to operate the service:
- Vercel hosts the site, runs server functions, stores reports and related records, provides analytics, and may provide bot detection.
- Upstash may hold short-lived, IP-based request counters used to limit abuse.
- Stripe runs checkout, processes payment, issues the receipt, and stores the purchase metadata, including the location purchased and its report link.
- Resend receives the buyer’s email address, the location purchased, and the report link so it can deliver the report email.
- The US Census Bureau and Google receive the searched location when we geocode it. Google also receives requests for map imagery and nearby business listings.
- Anthropic receives a set of computed report figures to draft part of the written report. We do not send Anthropic the searched address, city, state, ZIP code, buyer email, or report link.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect the service or the rights and safety of others, or as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of the business. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. The site does not run the Meta Pixel or another advertising pixel.
Payments
Stripe hosts checkout and receives your payment-card and billing information. Dental Radar does not receive or store your full card number. Stripe handles payment data under its own privacy policy.
Report links
A purchased report is stored as a fixed snapshot and opened through a random 22-character link token. The URL does not contain the searched address or payment-session ID. A report link works like a shared-document link: anyone who has it can read the report, so share it only with people you intend to give access. Purchased reports are not listed publicly. The Scottsdale sample is public by design.
Analytics, logs, and bot protection
Vercel Web Analytics does not use third-party cookies and presents traffic to us in aggregate. It can record the page path, referrer, general location, browser, operating system, device type, and the named events described above. Vercel also keeps infrastructure and request logs as part of hosting the service.
We use short-lived, IP-based counters to limit automated or excessive requests. On production pages, Vercel BotID may evaluate whether a request appears automated. We use these tools for security and cost control, not advertising.
How long we keep information
Purchased reports, report-link records, and delivery records are kept so the report link continues to work and we can support the purchase. Stripe retains transaction information under its policies and applicable recordkeeping requirements. Rate-limit records expire after their short request window. Hosting, analytics, email, and other service-provider records follow each provider’s retention practices.
You may ask us to delete a purchased report and the records we control by emailing us. We may retain transaction or other information when required by law, needed to resolve a dispute, or maintained by a service provider under its own legal obligations.
Security
We use HTTPS, limit the information we collect, keep payment-card handling with Stripe, and use random report tokens. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and privacy rights
You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information we control, or request a copy of it, by emailing support@mydentalradar.com with enough information for us to locate the relevant purchase or report. We will respond as required by applicable law. We may need to verify your request and may retain information that applicable law permits or requires us to keep. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.
Children
The service is intended for adults evaluating dental-practice locations. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
United States service
Dental Radar operates from Minnesota, and the service is intended for US users and US locations. Information may be processed in the United States by us and our providers.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service changes. We will post the revised policy here and change the effective date above. Your use of the service after an update is subject to the revised policy.
